I own, operate and provide all counseling and psychology services at Precise Psychological & Addiction Services.
I’m passionate about empowering others to find their truth and to walk a path of meaning
More specifically, I do psychological evaluations with individuals who have overwhelming emotions to answer the “why’s & what’s” to find understanding, recovery and meaning. Additionally I enjoy providing therapy to those with co-occurring mental health and addiction.
Beginnings of Understanding
I have first hand knowledge of the damage mental health and addiction can do. After growing up in a home with “functional” addiction, I barely escaped the same. And by barely escape I mean finding purpose after multiple returns to college, multiple careers, DWI, Navy discharge and years of disruptions from untreated mental health.
Looking back, my experiences guided me
Consequently, I was also one that everyone confided in but never knew “what” to say, besides just being there. My knack for listening, family life and love of science brought me to diving into psychology to answer some of my own questions. Here I found a path that was meaningful for me.
Finding compassion and purpose
Not only having experienced being evaluated myself, but I was also granted the experience of having multiple children with needs that required psychological evaluations and treatment. Ultimately this has enabled me to find compassion for those going through this process and the passion to help.
Living out my passion as a psychologist & counselor
Finally opening Precise Psychological has been a long journey, but worth it. I find fulfillment with helping others find answers and recovery. I feel blessed working through journeys of recovery alongside those in my hometown and state.

Above all I help provide answers and understanding with respect and warmth. There can be tremendous difficulties with seeking care and doing the work of therapy and I can be in your corner encouraging, guiding, educating and supporting along the way. I will work with you to realistically achieve your goals. After all, the work done in therapy is about you, not me.

Background Info
Jeremy is a practicing psychologist and addiction counselor who graduated locally from UNCW with a masters degree in psychology, with an emphasis in substance abuse treatment. Jeremy’s licensure includes a license from the NC psychology board as a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) #4647. Additionally, Jeremy’s licensure includes those licensed by the NC Addiction Specialist board as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) # 1663 and a Clinical Supervisor Intern (CSI)# 20113.
He has worked in multiple different modalities of treatment that vary the range of treatment options. As a result, he has knowledge that spans the different needs and levels of care of mental healthcare. To sum up his experience, the following are examples of different areas: outpatient therapy, community support team treatments, intensive outpatient programs, Day treatment programs, substance abuse comprehensive treatment services, inpatient medical and psychiatric units.
During Jeremy’s career, he has served the Wilmington NC area for well over a decade. Much time was spent working at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in both the medical hospital settings and psychiatric units, for example. Jeremy likewise provided many consultations and counseling for those in the community, including the physicians and staff on how to provide effective services to individuals with substance use disorders and dual diagnosis.
