About US

Above all, Precise Psychological was born from a desire to provide the best care to those in need. The owner’s decision was additionally influenced by the struggle to find quality treatment for family members without having to wait an extended amount of time to be seen. The owner opened Precise as a private practice to serve Wilmington and the surrounding area, with tele-health services that can span the whole state of NC. Precise is owned and operated by the same psychologist that provides treatment, Jeremy Mullis. Precise opened its doors to the public in January of 2022.

What Make Us Different

First and foremost, treatment is person centered and focused on what matters to you. Anyone that walks through my door is seen as a whole person and treated as such. Precise believes that connection and valuing your goals is what is most important. Thus aiding with the process of getting you to where you want to be.

Who Will I See For Therapy?

Knowing who you will see is an important part of feeling comfortable with your decision to seek help. In addition to knowing who you will see, it is also helpful to know background and training. It can be confusing with all the different terms used for providers, such as therapist and counselor for example. Some of these terms have similar meaning, such as counselor and therapist. Others like psychologist, for example, have more specialized meaning and training.

Psychologists can provide many other services, such as evaluations and testing besides counseling. Precise is owned and operated by psychologist Jeremy Mullis LPA, LCAS, CSI. Expect to see Jeremy for all services within precise, from beginning to end.

Your Psychologist’s Background

Jeremy is a psychologist and addiction counselor who graduated locally from UNCW with a masters degree in psychology, with an emphasis in substance abuse treatment. Jeremy’s licensure includes a license from the NC psychology board as a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA). Additionally, Jeremy’s licensure includes those licensed by the NC Addiction Specialist board as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) and a Clinical Supervisor Intern (CSI).

He has worked in multiple different modalities of treatment that vary the range of treatment options. As a result, he has knowledge that spans the different needs and levels of care of mental healthcare. To sum up his experience, the following are examples of different areas: outpatient therapy, community support team treatments, intensive outpatient programs, Day treatment programs, substance abuse comprehensive treatment services, inpatient medical and psychiatric units.

During Jeremy’s career, he has served the Wilmington NC area for well over a decade. Much time was spent working at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in both the medical hospital settings and psychiatric units, for example. Jeremy likewise provided many consultations and counseling for those in the community, including the physicians and staff on how to provide effective services to individuals with substance use disorders and dual diagnosis.
